Franco Camatta
Franco is one of the firm’s founding directors and heads our Corporate and Commercial team.
Franco’s practice traverses corporate and commercial law, insolvency law, finance and securities law, property law and conveyancing, business, and industrial law. He has a long history of professional and community service, including the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia, the Australian Institute of Judicial Administration, the Taxation Institute of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia Liaison Committee, and the South Australian Council of Social Services.
Franco is a qualified mediator and is President of Relationships Australia (SA) Incorporated. During 2006-2007 he was engaged by the Asian Development Bank to assist in drafting the securities laws for Laos. Franco serves on the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency, and was, for many years, the coordinator of the Commercial and Corporate Practice course in The Law Society of South Australia’s Graduate Program for graduate lawyers, teaching principally in post-graduate commercial subjects.
Franco is also an adjunct Associate Professor at the Flinders University Law School and also teaches at The University of Adelaide.
