Camatta Lempens is pleased to announce that Stephen Kenny of Camatta Lempens has been appointed as the Australian solicitor for Julian Assange.
Mr Assange is currently being held in the Belmarsh Prison in England pending his appeals against his extradition to the United States to face politically motivated charges of espionage. The charges arose out of the WikiLeaks exposure of war crimes committed in Iraq.
Stephen is working with Julian’s father, Mr John Shipton and his brother, Gabriel Shipton. He is being assisted by one of Australia’s prominent barristers, Mr Greg Barns SC.
