Camatta Lempens is renowned for its pro bono and human rights practice.

In particular, Director Stephen Kenny has acted on a pro bono basis for Australians imprisoned overseas including:

  • David Hicks in relation to his imprisonment in Guantanamo Bay;
  • Robert Langdon in relation to his imprisonment and death sentence in Afghanistan; and
  • Tallal Audrey in relation to his imprisonment in Kuwait.

Camatta Lempens also acted for the Cheltenham Park Residents Associationn on a pro bono basis during its highly-publicised recent dispute with the South Australian Jockey Club.
